Education

I attained my high school diploma from The Dominca Grammar School (DGS) in 1988.

My quest to become a teacher began in the Fall of 1992, and ended in the Spring of 1997. I graduated Cum Laude in May 1997 from the University of the Virgin Islands. There I earned my Bachelor's of Arts degree in Elementary Education, on the beautiful island of St.Thomas, U.S.V.I.

Currently, I am pursuing my Masters of Education (M.Ed) in Curriculum & Instruction with a concentration in Mathematics.

Experience

So far my journey has taken me on an 18 years trip in Elementary Education. I have taught every grade except for kindergarten, but most of my time has been spent in 3rd grade. As a result, I have taught Regular, ESOL, & Gifted classes.

Bio

Sakafete (creole)...Hello,

When you first meet me, right away you'll realize that I have an accent. I am from a small island in the Caribbean called Dominica....no, I'm not from Jamaica (I get that allot). Dominica was a british colony of the Queen of England until it's independence on Nov. 3rd. 1978.

I have been married to my island husband Roland, for 22 years...   Together, we have been blessed with 4 children, Roland Jr., Rondell, Ryan, and RiYahna.  We have been leaving in Villa Rica for about 10 years now, and we just love the quiet disposition of the area !

I have been honored to teach VRE for the last 10 years. I have been blessed that I have taught siblings, that's what so special about this school and Villa Rica.  Go Wildcats!!!!!!

I believe that every child can learn, even if they do not all begin at the same level. What you expect from them, is what they'll give you...EXPECT success!!
