I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia and am certified in Early Childhood Education and Middle grades Science.

I began my teaching career as a substitute for the Department of Defense schools when my husband and I were stationed overseas with the Air Force. I discovered a love for teaching and began working towards certification when we moved back to the States.

I worked as a parapro in the Carrollton City School System for a few years while I was working towards my certification. Once I graduated, I began teaching 4th grade science and social studies at Glanton-Hindsman Elementary school.  In the fall of 2011, I moved to Villa Rica Elementary to teach 2nd grade and I have been here ever since. I love my VRE family!!

I have been married to my wonderful husband, David, for 37 years and we have three great sons, Chris, AJ, and Caleb. I have one adorable grandson, Spencer, and a beautiful granddaughter, Adaline.

I enjoy singing and am in the Carroll Community Chorus as well as my church choir.  I love reading and spending time and my family and friends.
