I went to a Christian school when I lived in Atlanta, but transferred to Fayette County schools in 1978. I graduated from Fayette County High School in 1987. After beginning as a business major at West Georgia, I quickly decided that I had much rather spend my career doing something that could make the difference in the life of a child.  I graduated from UWG in 1992 with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.

I began my career as a paraprofessional with Carrollton Elementary School.  I later began teaching Pre-K in the private sector, where I worked for 4 years before coming to Carroll County Schools.  Since beginning with Carroll County, I have always taught in Villa Rica.

I am a proud teacher of Pre-K at Villa Rica Elementary!  I graduated from West Georgia with a bachelor's degree in Early childhood Education.  This is my twenty-first year teaching Pre-K.  I started out in private school, where I taught four years, and then transferred to Villa Rica.  I truly feel like it's my place to be.  I love to see the children's excitement for learning, when they see how much fun we have in class!

I have been married to Dan for 10 years, and have four children. Shannon, and her husband Josh live in Fairburn with their son, Andrew and are expecting twins very soon.  Abby is 20 and goes to University of West Georgia where she is majoring in History.  Alli is a sophmore at Central High School where she enjoys singing and playing the trombone.  Brendan is almost 10, and is in fourth grade at Villa Rica Elementary.
