Our Mission
To prepare our students to become contributing members of society, who are morally responsible and vocationally successful.

Our Vision
Students will see education as the means to shape their own future and achieve a better life for themselves and others.

Our Beliefs

1) We believe that high expectations maximize students' academic and personal growth.
2) We believe that learning must remain a high priority at our school.
3) We believe in an environment of caring and respect for each other.
4) We believe that all children can learn through instruction that is based on their individual needs and learning styles.
5) We believe that the education of our students is a shared responsibility among staff, parents, students, and community.

Our Non-Negotiable Expectations
Attendance: Regular attendance is vital to learning. Students are expected to be at school every day except in the case of personal illness, death in the family, or religious holiday. A written note from the parent or guardian must be sent to excuse absences.

Tardiness
: Teachers begin class promptly at 7:50AM. When students are late, important work and instruction are missed. Therefore, students must be at school and in their classroom no later than 7:45AM when the tardy bell sounds.

Homework: Homework is assigned to reinforce skills and to build responsibility. Homework must be completed and returned to school on time. Reading is often a part of the assigned work and parents should take an active role in seeing that the student reads in addition to completing other written tasks. At least twenty minutes of reading time is suggested each night.

Agendas: Agendas and Choice Cards will be used to communicate between home and school. Homework assignments, upcoming events, and notes between parents and teacher will be sent home in the agenda each night, and the student must return the agenda to school daily.

Respect: All students must conduct themselves in class so as to not interfere with any classmate's right to learn. Misbehavior that prohibits another student's right to learn may cause the offender to be removed from the classroom. Administrators will decide on the appropriate consequences.
