Julie Cole became involved in the field of education when she began substitute teaching shortly after graduating high school. In 2009, she completed an Associates degree in Administrative Office Technology at West Georgia Technical College. In 2011, she made the decision to return to school to pursue a career in the field of education. She graduated Suma Cum Laude with her bachelor's in Special Education from the University of West Georgia in 2014. She was also honored to receive a departmental award for Academic Excellence in Special Education from UWG. She has been working with students in kindergarten through fifth since 2014, making this her sixth year teaching special education at Villa Rica Elementary.
