Welcome to Villa Rica Elementary

VRE is located in a rural community 45 minutes from metropolitan Atlanta.  Villa Rica Elementary School, a Title I school with 70% of students receiving free or reduced lunch, is one of four public elementary schools in the Villa Rica Cluster of the Carroll County School System.  Villa Rica Elementary School serves approximately 475 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade with 35 full-time, highly qualified teachers on staff. Other certified support staff includes one counselor, one media specialist and one instructional coach. Additional staff are shared between schools in the Villa Rica Cluster. Principal, Mrs. Alison Lyle, begins her fourth year at Villa Rica Elementary and works with one Assistant Principal, Beth Little who is in her fifth year of service. Several classified positions also provide support, including paraprofessional, clerical, technical, health care, safety, and food service. Custodial services are provided by an independent company.

In serving this community, Villa Rica Elementary has experienced numerous changes and challenges over the past years. Growing through changes and challenges can bring notable rewards.  VRE now offers some of the nicest classrooms in the West Georgia area and is home to our Wildcat Wonder Zone, a place where students are rewarded for meeting their goals.  Included in our Wonder Zone, is a sensory table (one of the only ones of it's kind to be offered in an elementary school setting).  To meet the needs of our 21st century learners, the use of technology has increased annually. Our campus offers interactive boards in all classrooms and we are 1:1 with Chromebook technology in grades K-5.  Pre-K students have daily access to tablets and Chromebooks as well.  

VRE implements the Georgia Performance Standards, as measured by the College and Career Readiness Performance Index (CCRPI) with an emphasis on literacy and math.  We strive to demonstrate Talent, Heart, and Excellence in all that we do.  Evidence of our expectations for high levels of student engagement and  rigorous instruction can be viewed in all content areas on our campus.  Villa Rica Elementary gained CCS District STEM Certification in 2023 and plans to seek National STEM Certification in 2024.
