Welcome to Villa Rica Elementary
VRE is located in a rural community 45 minutes from metropolitan Atlanta. Villa Rica Elementary School, a Title I school with 61% of students receiving free or reduced lunch, is one of four public elementary schools in the Villa Rica Cluster of the Carroll County School System. Villa Rica Elementary School serves approximately 400 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade with 33 full-time, highly qualified teachers on staff. Other certified support staff includes one counselor, one media specialist and one instructional coach. Additional teachers are shared between schools in the Villa Rica Cluster. Principal, Mrs. Alison Lyle, begins her second year at Villa Rica Elementary and works with one Assistant Principal, Beth Little who is in her third year of service. Several classified positions also provide support, including paraprofessional, clerical, technical, health care, safety, and food service. Custodial services are provided by an independent company.
In serving this community, Villa Rica Elementary has experienced numerous changes and challenges over the past years. To meet the needs of our 21st century learners, the use of technology has increased yearly. VRE offers interactive boards in all classrooms and we are 1:1 with Chromebook technology in grades 1-5. Pre-K and Kindergarten students have daily access to tablets and Chromebooks as well. VRE implements Common Core Georgia Performance Standards, as measured by the College and Career Readiness Performance Index (CCRPI) with an emphasis on literacy and expectations of rigorous instruction in all content areas.
Villa Rica Elementary encourages the input of parents and family members to establish an equal partnership for the common goal of improving student achievement and providing premier experiences.
