Bio
I graduated from Mercer University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. I received my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Central Michigan University and received my Specialists in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College. I came to Villa Rica Elementary in 1999 as a paraprofessional in third grade. The next year I moved to the computer lab as a paraprofessional. In 2001, I moved into the front office and worked as a secretary until I finished my degree in 2005. I have been in the classroom for 16 years. During this time, I taught second grade for 7 years, I have taught Kindergarten for 5 years, and first grade for 3 year. This year, I have been given the opportunity to return to Kindergarten. I have been married to my husband, Dennis for 37 years. I have two daughters, who are both teachers in the Carroll County School System. I also have four grandchildren.
